A Passive House certified home is a building that meets rigorous international standards for energy efficiency, achieving exceptional comfort and air quality through superinsulation, airtight construction, and heat-recovery ventilation. This effort makes the home both net-zero ready and off-the-grid ready, while also ensuring that both quality of air on the interior is high quality and the energy used to condition that air is minimal.

The front and back yard are scooped into the house by a clever use of wood that transforms from fence to wall to interior finish, creating ‘tree rooms’ (outdoor spaces with distinct borders that are room-sized with canopy ceilings) and focusing on the long linear forests in front and behind the home.
