Parkview Mountain House

Parkview Mountain House is a three-bedroom creative retreat for winter stays and a new artist-in-residence program, a first for visionary Globizen. Perched on a forested hillside, the house was conceived as a place where writers, musicians, and scholars can step away from life’s constant feed of content, immerse themselves in nature, and focus deeply on their work.

Not far from the main streets of Park City, on a site with challenging slopes and atypical vistas, we created a unique sense of solitude and expanse. Window viewing boxes extend desks into the hillside, drawing residents physically closer to nature while they’re in their creative flow.

Material and color choices root the hospitality space in its Utah context. Bathrooms echo the rich red earth while knotty cedar siding narrates a story of the forest, growth, and rebirth. The result is a getaway that is both immersive and grounded, where architecture and landscape are quietly intertwined.
