Custom booths and built-in seating carve out zones of privacy within an open plan, creating microcosms of gathering that echo the layered density of Venice. The bar itself becomes a sculptural centerpiece. The space, formed in recycled timber terrazzo, is surrounded by softly glowing wood panels that dissolve at the edges. Nano Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) panels are used throughout, not as decoration but as structure for the drop ceiling, giving the space a tactile honesty that changes with light and touch.
The design invites exploration: compressed spaces open unexpectedly into warm alcoves; corners dematerialize into mirrors and grain; and every surface offers a quiet dialogue between craft and reuse. Bar Cicchetti transforms the rituals of eating and drinking into an architectural experience. It is small in scale, yet immersive, imaginative, and deeply human.
