C.C. Housing is a distributed low-rise network designed as a “horizontal tower” of 50 units across multiple sites, weaving together neighborhoods through shared material economies and community storefronts for food, childcare, and small business.

Each lot centers on a large shade tree and integrates fruit and herb gardens, solar energy, rainwater collection, and passive cooling to reduce resource use and costs. At the unit scale, adaptable layouts enabled by a flexible plumbing pinwheel support multi-generational living and future renovations, allowing families to evolve or expand their homes over time.

Built from modular, low-carbon materials like ceramic shingles and dowel-laminated timber, the system uses dry connections for easy repair and reuse, fostering local trade skills and positioning architecture as a living platform that grows with its residents.
